Short, because there is not much to hide. What you get, what we do not do, and how money moves.
Sharpen ($350): you send us the itinerary you have, and we return it reviewed and improved, day by day, with the reasoning written out. Full Brief ($600): you send us dates, budget, and who is traveling, and we return two complete versions of the trip with their tradeoffs, plus the sharpened version of whichever you choose. Both are documents, delivered as a private web booklet and readable on any phone.
Every brief is researched with AI and then read, edited, and signed by a person before it reaches you. What we are selling is that judgment.
We do not make bookings. Hotels, restaurants, trains, museum tickets, and flights are recommended with the details you need to book them, and you book them yourself. We do not hold your money for any third party, and we are not a travel agency in the licensed sense.
Prices, opening hours, and availability in Japan change. We verify what we can at the time of writing and tell you what to double-check. The final check before you pay for anything is yours.
We do not provide live support during your trip. The on-trip concierge included with a Full Brief is an automated assistant grounded in your own brief. For emergencies in Japan call 119 (ambulance, fire) or 110 (police).
A Sharpen is usually back within a few days of receiving your itinerary, a Full Brief within about a week. If your travel dates make that too slow, ask before paying and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.
One round of revisions is included: tell us what does not fit and we adjust it. Beyond that, changes are quoted separately.
If you change your mind before we have started work, we refund in full. Once research has begun, we refund half. Once the brief is delivered, there is no refund, but if something in it is wrong we fix it.
The teardown at /teardown is an automated read of the itinerary you paste and returns three suggested fixes. It is free, it is generated by AI without a person reviewing it, and it can be wrong. Treat it as a starting point, not a plan.
The Tokyo field guide ($59) is sold as an add-on to a brief and delivered as a private link to your email. The link is yours; please do not share it publicly. The concierge link that comes with a Full Brief works through your travel dates plus a short margin, and has a fair-use message limit that is more than any trip needs.
The briefs and guides are our writing and yours to use for your trip, not to resell or republish. We may quote anonymized fragments of a trip (never your name, never your dates) as examples of the work. Questions about any of this: intake@getshiori.com. Last updated 2 September 2026.
